There are two options for cremation burial.
Service at a Scheduled Time
The cemetery prepares the gravesite and a staff member meets the family and the funeral director if one is involved near the cemetery entrance. The cremated remains are placed above ground or in the grave according to the wishes of the designated family representative. At the conclusion of the committal service, cemetery personnel complete the interment.
Interment at the Cemetery's Convenience
The cremated remains are delivered to the cemetery office by a family member, a funeral director, or by mail. Cremated remains are interred by cemetery personnel. At your request, you will be notified when the interment is completed.
SITES FOR CREMATION INTERMENT
Cremation Garden
The cremation garden is a picturesque area surrounding a receiving facility built in 1878. Each grave has a cement vault with two compartments, each designed to accommodate the cremated remains of one person. The cement vault also economically serves as the foundation for a headstone or marker supplied by the family. Graves are designated by the cemetery for a headstone or a flush marker of prescribed dimension; however the top surface is engraved at the family's choice.
Standard Grave Space
According to Union Dale regulations, a grave may hold up to two cremations, or one cremation and one traditional interment.
Graves for Cremations
Certain sites in the cemetery are designated for cremation burial. These sites are limited to two cremation interments but sell at prices lower than a standard grave. In some cases, only flush memorials are permitted |
